Today’s review is all about this gorgeous shade of Red from my favorite nail polish brand, Essie. The shade is called Aperitif !

My experience : I am putting ‘fingers to keyboard’ after almost a month and it couldn’t be for a better post!
If you have followed my blog or social media for some time then you would know my love and obsession with Essie polishes. So, be prepared to read only good things in this post too!
The product comes packaged in the signature cuboid Essie glass bottle with a plastic white cap. The bottle comes with necessary information on it along with the shade name printed on a sticker. I love love love the new, wide-bristled brush. Its soft yet stiff enough for a smooth, one swipe application.
This shade is a beautiful orange based red, but not too warm. It reminds me of gorgeous sunny days on the beach and instantly perks up my mood! Although, I do think reds are good-to-use throughout the year!
The consistency or the formula of this nail paint is just perfect. It goes on very smoothly on the nails, without any bubbles. The formula goes opaque in just one layer.
Another thing I like about this formula is that it does not stink of acetones, as this brand is 3-free.
Longevity of this product is quite good, it lasts well on my nails for at least 5 days before starting to chip from the edges. If I apply a top coat with it, then it lasts for about 10 days on me.
One of the best thing about this nail paint is that it does not stain my nails, even without a base coat!
The only downside is their non-availability in India. I have to get them on my trips abroad, or request someone to get it from US for me! I really wish they would officially launch in India, especially now that OPI is here.
Over all, I love Essie nail paints and I want to keep on expanding my collection. There is a reason why these are so well loved, do try them out if you get your hands on them!
