Hello everyone!
Recently I had the honor of being invited to the prestigious Delhi Times Fashion Week, held at the Roseate House,New Delhi.
This 3 day extravaganza entailed Delhi’s who’s who to witness the fashion fiesta by some of India’s most talented names in the industry.
Day 1
The DTFW started with a bang with Ritu Beri’s khadi inspired line up to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary. Political bigwigs like Ms Meenakshi Lekhi, Ms Najma Heptullah, Ms Bharti Singh & Mr Lorenzo Angeloni walked the ramp for her.
Shreya Rao Kamavarapu, fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018 Second Runner up, was the showstopper for Apparel Training & Design Centre while Actress Sonal Chauhan looked stunning in the Athleisure line of Narendra Kumar. Her look was my personal favorite for the day! Yami Gautam looked ethereal too,closing the show with a Sulakshana Monga ensemble.
The top models like Laksmi Rana, Sonalika Sahay, Candice Pinto, Deepti Gujral also graced the runway with their stunning walk in their best outfits.
Day 2
The fashion bigwigs brought a whole lot of grandeur and glitz on Day 2.
Randeep Hooda slayed the ramp as he walked for designer Bharat Reshma. Chitrangda Singh added the oomph factor as she set the ramp ablaze for eminent designer Joy Mitra’s Monsoon Wedding collection. I am a sucker for ethnic outfits in red and this look swept me off my feet!
Mr World 2016 Rohit Khandelwal looked royal in Mehraab‘s Sensual Saga collection while fbb Colors Femina Miss World 2018 Anukeerthy Vas for the showstopper for Ashima-Leena. Krishna Mehta’s Freida Kahlo’s inspired line was quite refreshing for the eyes! Hair & makeup by Lakme Salon was on point!
Day 3
DTFW ended with a glittering finale with Actress Malavika Mohanan looked ethereal in white, walking for Suneet Varma.
Malini Ramani brought the quirk to indo-fusion with her Tribal Twist collection with Aditi Hundia, Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Supranational 2018. Nida Mehmood’s bohemian collection was quite dramatic with headgears and eyewear.
Madame launched its Autumn collection at the DTFW for which Roshni Sheora, Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2018 Runner-up,walked the ramp.
The magic of the affluent fashion week enticed people as celebrities like singer Jassi, Priya Rana (editor Splurge), H E Hector and Toya (ambassador, Ecuador), designer Nayanika and actress Nandita Basu attended the show.
As the curtains fall on this year’s DTFW, we all were left starry eyed, longing for more. Until next time,folks!
