My Experience: Holiday season is upon us and it truly is the most magical time of the year! Beauty brands are dropping holiday collections by the dozen and we are lapping it up! Holiday collections are great samplers and good value-for-money and the limited edition holiday packaging is cherry-on-top!

MAC has a huge holiday collection this year too with lots to offer for everyone.. here is a website that has good swatches of the entire collection : click here

I am not really a gloss person and do not have any glosses. Back in the day, glosses used to be tacky & gritty and just not flattering to my skin-tone. So when I wanted to get on the glossy lips bandwagon, what better collection to choose from?!

Coming to the product, the holiday collection lip glass comes in a really glossy & shiny cardboard box with the collection’s theme on it. The actual product comes in a transparent glass tube with a silver cap. I wish there was a more jazzy packaging for the actual tube as once I throw out the cardboard box, nothing much ‘shiny pretty’ is left about the gloss!

The applicator is in the shape of a doe foot and is a standard sponge tip. It picks up sufficient amount of product in one dip.

These lip glasses come in 5 different shades and there is something to suit everyone’s taste.

I chose the shade Rose Buddy. This a gorgeous deep plum shade with sparkly red-rose gold micro glitter. I think out of all the shades, this one compliments medium skin tone the best.

It looks nice and shiny when applied on its own  but as a lip topper on a deep red lipstick, it is mesmerizing!

It glides on smoothly like butter and is quite moisturizing, as it contains jojoba oil. Even though its loaded with glitter, the gloss does not feel gritty or uncomfortable at any point.

There is the typical MAC vanilla scent to it.

Longevity is an issue with most glosses. This one lasts well for about 2-3 hours on its own, but significantly more if I use it over a matte lipstick as a lip topper.

It does transfer everywhere though, whatever touches your lips. And one has to touch it up between meals.

This product is easily removed with any makeup remover and does not leave any stain behind.

Over all, I do love this shade and the quality of this product, especially for this season. If you are a gloss person or are looking for some cool shimmery lip toppers, then do check out this range.

I would rate it a 4.5/5
